How Stress Affects - 5 Oils To Help Reduce & Relax

February 24, 2016

Stressed? Overtired? Anxious? Stress can be caused from daily life and minor hassles, major lifestyle changes, or a combination. I've noticed how stress can affect me physically, typically my symptoms include feeling anxious, restless sleep, head aches, stomach aches, and even catching a cold. We are excited to introduce RareEssence essential oils that are 100% pure and consciously sourced. I've listed my top five oils to help reduce symptoms of stress!

1. HEAD AIDE

This soothing blend helps relieve minor headaches. I find that I tend to clench my jaw when I'm in a time crunch, or in a stressful situation which leads to a head ache. You can rub the oil directly on your skin, however if you have sensitive skin they do caution and recommend to use a carrier such as a body cream or massage oil.

2. SLEEP

A natural alternative to help aid in restful sleep. This oil contains lavender along with others, but lavender is a versatile oil that eases muscles, soothes, relaxes, calms, and heals. This blend can be diffused into the air, or rub on the bottom of your feet (your feet have the largest pores on your body). When I have a lot on my mind and just can't seem to turn it off it helps me get a decent nights sleep.

3. TUMMY RESCUE

This blend is a mixture of peppermint, chamomile, coriander, ginger and a few others to create a natural relief for upset stomach and nausea. I've noticed for me over the years even since I've had my gall bladder out that my stomach and emotions are connected. If I'm anxious about something my stomach is typically upset.

4. BREATH EASE

Gives gentle relief from colds and congestion with a blend of tea tree, eucalyptus, peppermint, and a few other oils. You've got to try a whif of this! I'd recommend to put a few drops in a diffuser and keep in your room, or mix with a carrier to apply to your chest.

5. OM

Promotes inner peace and is a centering blend of frankincese, lavender, and sandlwood just to name a few. This blend is my absolute favorite because of the smell, and I have it running in my diffuser as soon as I get home! We carry these super sleek looking diffusers that run on a 6 hour timer, you have to check out the "Blob" diffuser at Merle Norman.
