5 Ways To Spring Into SPRING!

April 8, 2016

Is your home ready for Spring? For me there's no better feeling than coming home to a clean and fresh house. I find that when I'm cleaning I seem to tweak my decorations move a tray or picture frame from one room to another just to freshen things up! Before I begin cleaning I first have to light a candle, turn on some tunes and put on my apron!

Cleaning certainly is not my favorite, but having a clean house is such a great feeling! I hate cleaning windows, it's such a process and then at the end I look out my windows after I've just cleaned inside and out and there are still streaks!

This spring let the light in without streaks! E-Cloth Window Pack is awesome because it works, just get the cleaning cloth wet with water and clean the windows then use the glass and polishing cloth to leave the window sparkling clean! After your done you can throw your cloths in the washing machine, because they are guaranteed 300 washes!

I love to freshen up my home lately with this new room and linen spray by Caldrea! I believe you can transform any space with the right fragrance. Caldrea's new fragrance is my favorite little orange escape with Tangelo Palm Frond Linen & Room Spray, pairs well with the hand soup and lotion for a little fun pop of color in your kitchen! This linen and room spray you can use on your curtains, towels, sheets, pillows blankets and more, nothing says spring without a beautiful aroma in the air!

Brighten any room with florals, foliage and greenery!

Pops of color are important in a space, doesn't mean that you have to go and paint a whole room a bright color. Neutral tones are great to have on your floor and walls, but then with accents such as pillows, rugs and even some real or fake greenery! Adding greenery in a space can brightens the mood and even if it is fake greenery (since I can't seem to keep my succulants alive) makes the room feel fresh and alive!

Prints, mirrors and other wall art can make such an impact on your space. Prints big or small bring color into a room or give a nice message. I like to also use mirrors, Josh hates them, but I try to explain to him that they aren't for looking at yourself! With 8' ceilings (even 7' ceilings which we have in our hallway and bedrooms) and small windows there's no better solution to small spaces then strategically placed accent mirrors! They expand walls, amplify the light, and break up visual clutter!

Place a mirror behind a light source, it will help maximize the light's reach, even if it's just a candle. I've seen this done in a master bedroom on both sides of nightstands with matching lamps and then placing mirrors behind on the walls. When the time comes to re do my master bedroom I'm so doing this! Also, place a mirror next to or across from a window to maximize the reflection of natural light. I really like to incorporate a mirror on a collage wall or in shelf arrangement, because it just gives visual breather.

5. RUGS

Tile, wood floors and other hard surfaces are trending in homes today! From kitchen, dining, living room, hallways and even bedrooms we are finding these beautiful hard surfaces. The downside is they can make your spaces feel somewhat cold, open and somewhat dull. First every room needs a focal point, just like every room has a purpose. Rugs are great for this they provide that warm texture, pattern, color and a focus. For example: A dining room is meant for entertaining and eating with the focus being the table. To enhance the table add a rug underneath with a little pop of color or even a fun patter will add so much to the space.

Don't forget about your sun rooms and outdoor patios! We have a great new line of indoor/outdoor rugs that add a splash of color and pattern!
